Eckhart Tolle was born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At 29, he says a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. He spent the next few years devoted to understanding, integrating and deepening that transformation, which he says marked the beginning of an intense inward journey. While in London, he also began to work with individuals and small groups as a counselor and spiritual teacher. Since 1995, he has lived in Vancouver, Canada. The Power of Now made its American debut in 1999 and has since been translated into 33 languages.
Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition. Through his writing and seminars, his simple yet profound teachings have already helped countless people throughout the world find inner peace and greater fulfillment in their lives.
At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of consciousness—a spiritual awakening that he sees as the next step in human evolution. An essential aspect of this awakening consists of transcending our ego-based state of consciousness. This, he says, is a prerequisite not only for personal happiness but also for the ending of violent conflict endemic on our planet.

Wayne Dyer was born on May 10, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away on August 29, 2015. He was a famous American philosopher, self-help author, and motivational speaker. His 1976 book Your Erroneous Zones sold over 35 million copies and is one of the best-selling books of all time.
Dyer was born to Hazel Irene Dyer and Melvin Lyle but spent his adolescent years in an orphanage. After graduating from high school, Dyer joined the United States Navy. He pursued his studies in counseling at Wayne State University and received a doctorate in Educational Counseling.
Despite spending his childhood in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer overcame all obstacles to realize his dreams. After a period of internal issues, he finally committed his life to helping others and showing them how to follow in his footsteps.
Wayne worked as a counselor for a high school in Detroit. At St. John's University in New York City, he was a professor teaching counselor education.
His passion for an academic career lead him to publish articles in journals, which lead to him establishing his first private therapy practice. His first book, Your Erroneous Zones was published in 1976. It became an international bestseller and launched his career as an author and speaker. The success of the book convinced Dyer to quit his job to focus on writing similar books. Among them were Wishes Fulfilled, Excuses Begone and The Sky’s the Limit. The success of these bestselling books eventually led to national television talk show appearances including The Merv Griffin Show, The Tonight Show, and The Phil Donahue Show.
Wayne was lovingly called the “father of motivation” by his fans. When talking to audiences, Dr. Dyer would use his own life experiences as examples and often narrated anecdotes from his family life. He traveled across the globe delivering his motivating messages. When he wasn’t on the road, he spent his time writing at his home in Maui.
His lectures on positive thinking attracted people from all over, helping Wayne choose the path that he followed until his last breath.
