Personal Stress Resilience Mentoring for First Responders
This series of six personal resilience-mentoring sessions, provided via telephone or via Zoom, teaches first responders several core skills that build resilience and boost performance. As with the Resilience Advantage™ workshop, first responders will learn how to better handle stress reactions and develop more intelligent approaches to self-regulation and renewing their energy. As individuals increase their energy reserves, they are better able to bounce back from stressful events and build a cushion that prepares and protects them from the damaging effects of many of life’s typical stressors.
Sessions begin and end with a Stress and Well being Assessment survey together with four sessions of HeartMath® Resilience training. The validated assessment is used to better identify your specific requirements, providing more individual focus for applying the skills, tracking your success and helping you to achieve your goals.
Mentors are skilled at understanding the needs of first responders and helping them quickly learn and apply practical techniques so they can take charge of their work and personal lives. All formats are flexible and can be customized to meet the needs of both the individual and the organization.
This program can be taught on its own, and is used to support officers that have received the One Day Resiience Advantage Training to assist with anchoring the teachings in their daily lives.

Personal Stress Resilience Mentoring/Coaching
for Individuals

Building Personal Resilience™ is a system of HeartMath® tools and techniques that help you to change the way your body's physiology responds to stressful situations. You will also learn tools and techniques that will help you better manage how you think about those situations so that you can easily prepare for and recover or reset from a stressful situation so that you do not continue to create and fuel additional drama. This is especially helpful if your role at work includes the need to de-escalate a situation quickly and calmly.
When you practice the techniques, automatic stress reactions will no longer dictate how you feel, react or behave, whether you are in a personal or professional situation.
Resilience mentoring/coaching is a very effective way to incorporate building resilience skills into your personal life. This will assist you in developing your self awareness, self regulation skills and your emotional intelligence so that you can 'respond' instead of 'react' to situations outside of your control.
A minimum commitment of 6 sessions in order for you to learn, discover and practice your new skill-sets for self care and personal effectiveness is highly recommended. Individuals will learn and experience much of the same content that is shared in The Resilience Advantage™ Workshop, however personal coaching sessions are customized specifically to meet the needs of the individual. All sessions begin and end with a Stress and Well Being Assessment survey. The validated assessment is used to better identify your specific requirements, providing more individual focus for applying the skills, tracking your success and helping you to achieve your goals.
One hour sessions are typically scheduled one to two weeks apart. You will receive a comprehensive Guide Book which includes all of the content covered in the sessions, step-by-step techniques and exercises to assist your discovery in between sessions.
